Almost seven years ago, I walked into The Gideons International Headquarters for the first time to serve on staff as a copywriter. God writes your story, and I can honestly say I never saw this season of ministry coming. But I’m so grateful it did. I have formed many lifelong friendships and learned and grown professionally during this time. This is an incredible ministry that wins for the lost for Jesus Christ across the globe. God has great things for this Association in the days ahead.

After my dad died in October 2023, I took a long pause to consider what I was doing and where I was in life. When I went to Bible college many moons ago, I thought I would be a youth pastor for the foreseeable future. It’s what I loved and where I wanted to be. And the statement is true… once you are a youth pastor, you are always one in some people’s eyes.

As great a situation as I was in with The Gideons, I longed to combine my three professional passions: student ministry, content creation, and leadership. God’s providence has provided such an opportunity for me and my family.

On February 3, 2025, I begin the next season of ministry with Lifeway Christian Resources. I will serve as a Team Lead on the Student Publishing team and oversee Bible Studies for Life: Students.

To say I am thrilled is an understatement! God opened this door for me and, in many ways, has confirmed that this is what is next for me. I will also continue to serve on staff at New Hope Hermitage as the groups pastor, which has been an incredible place to learn, grow, and experience the move of God.

I covet your prayers as I make this transition. I will forever be grateful for my time at The Gideons—thank you, and I love you. To my new team at Lifeway—let’s go!!! Reaching the next generation and equipping those who serve in this area is the greatest calling in the world.
