Sometimes, late Wednesday nights are the loneliest for youth pastors. Whether the student midweek gathering (whatever night it may be) went really well or the night had moments of frustration, it can all catch up with us in a moment. Then, Thursday morning arrives. Driving to the next thing on the calendar or even the church office can be filled with feelings of insecurity, loneliness, and other lies from the Enemy.
The purpose of “Thursday Thought for Youth Pastors” is to encourage and remind those leading student ministries to stay committed to the calling God has placed on their lives. It’s a simple, short statement posted on my social media platforms (primarily Facebook and Instagram) to remind leaders to look to the One who promises to complete the good work He began in them. Student pastors should always point students, leaders, and families to Jesus and, most importantly, seek Him.
Please feel free to send this to your network of youth pastors as a source of encouragement and inspiration. Let’s continue to champion the next generation for Jesus Christ!
